Frogner House has longed for and looked forward to Kaizers Orchestra live, this amazing band with amazing performances is something that must be seen and experienced. Listen to their new single "Philemon Arthur and the Dung", released in these days.

The band produced there first album in 2001 and become well known for its distinctive music and they set a new record of most sold albums in Norway. Attractive cities in 2011

Lonely Planet has listed the most attractive cities in 2011; and if they can, Frogner House Apartment can. So here is the list over the cities we at Frogner House Apartments (mostly me personally) find interesting and recommend our readers to take a look at in the year 2011.

1. Oslo – Spring is great! When a city has winter 7 month a year everyone can imagine how people wake up and get an extra big smile on there faces when the first sun arrives and the temperature goes over 10 + Celsius!
2. Amsterdam - A modern and urban Paris with a touch of New York, buy a bottle of Rose wine and enjoy it by the side of one of all beautiful cannels.
3. Miami – Our general manager, Arne, consider this city to be one of his favourites. He has many travel memories among others when he rented a cab and drove to the airport to pick up his friends with Will Smiths classic song Welcome to Miami playing on the radio. I think you get the picture!
4. Delhi – All the interesting story’s guests have told us about India and particular Delhi in the past year have created an enormous interest and personal feeling about this city!
5. Hong Kong – Combines’ the best of all world, enjoy the mountains, skyscrapers and history!

What to do on a Tuesday night?

Why not try the legendary jamsession at Josefines Vertshus..

Each Tuesday during the spring, fall and winter season Josefine Vertshus is a hangout for musicians, eager and social listeners to meet. The jam-session gathers famous, as well as upcoming musicians for an entertaining jam that combines many great aspects of music, lots of people of all ages and a real good time. Here you can wind down and relax while enjoying good company and nice music.

Haba Haba Hujaza Kibaba

Something else that’s sweet is the Norwegian contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest 2011, set for the 14^th of May in Germany.

For those who didn’t watch the Norwegian Finale on Saturday, you can see it here

I can tell you that it’s a very happy and inspiring song, full of energy! The Norwegian winner, Stella Mwangi, is actually a recognized artist in East Africa and some of her songs topped the charts in Kenya, Senegal and Gambia.

She has released an album called ‘Living For Music’ and have also been active in the Norwegian Hip Hop Scene since she was 11 years old. Although she came to Norway at the age of 4 and became a Norwegian citizen, she stays closely connected to her roots/heritage. This comes through in her song, as she sings “Haba Haba Hujaza Kibaba”, which is an African saying she learnt from her grandmother. It means something like ’Small Victories Lead to Big Ones'. That’s something we all should think of now and then.

Guess who has checked in to Frogner House Apartments-Skovveien 8 today??

Correct, yours truly!

I have been working here for two years now, first in the reception in Skovveien 8 and later as a Key Account Manager. My main work is to cooperate with our business clients. It has been a very exciting journey, building homes for our guests who are staying away from home.

Now that I am renovating my own apartment I really needed a temporary home…And what alternative could be better than to check out how it really feels to stay away from home in one of our apartments. And trust me, it’s really nice here, I feel like we are closer than ever for the recipe of that homey feeling, remember: “A house is made of walls and beams; but a home is built with love and dreams.”
